California isn’t called The Golden State for nothing. Actual gold is long gone alright, but there’s still plenty more – ranging from scenaries to opportunities. With snow mountains, scorching deserts, volcanic parks, ocean fronts, pristine lakes, dense forests, historic sites, and being one of the only five places on earth with a Mediterranean type climate, California is a photographer’s paradise all year around. California is also home to one of the most scenic coastal corridars in the world. The scenic Highway-1, Big Sur region in particular, is popular for it’s breathtaking views and is the number one coastal drive in the United States. So that’s where I shall start for my first post in this photo blog. Here come a few snapshots I took at various beaches in the beautiful Monterey peninsula. California.. what can I say.. Heaven on earth, particularly from a photographer’s point of view. We’ve been to northern california for the first time in the last december. 10 days totally on the road weren’t enough for us. I can’t say that we even saw 1% of the places we’ve been to. I llllovve..
My blog, when I update it, will show lots of fotos from our trip to CA.
Funny story about my love for SFO even before I visited. I started dreaming about going to sfo from the day I saw “Vertigo” a long time back. After that, we saw quiet a few movies based on SFO, one of which was Bullit, which totally put the land/cityscape to good use. Now, whenever we see ‘frisco in any movies, we get excited as if its our birthplace or something..
